You can browse women, men, anime, and fantasy categories, then narrow the selection around the personality or relationship you're looking for.

Create a custom AI girlfriend or boyfriend

The creator supports male and female characters in realistic and anime styles. You can follow guided choices or write a custom prompt.

Appearance controls cover features such as hair, body type, and overall style. Personality and background settings define the character's occupation, relationship, and the way you want to interact.

Review the generated appearance before activating the companion. You can regenerate a look when it doesn't fit the character you had in mind.

NSFW chat and roleplay

Joi supports adult character conversations and fictional scenarios. A clear character setup gives you a starting relationship and a tone for the conversation.

You can request photos and videos alongside messaging. Gifts are another part of character interactions, with their own Neuron prices.

The video workspace also uses a character selection and a written description. Describe the appearance, location, and action you want, then choose the output orientation.

Batch options include one, two, four, or eight videos. Generating several versions can help you explore a scene, but each batch should be checked against its total cost.

The video generator creates clips of characters and scenes. It sits alongside chat as a separate media tool.

Community and media browsing

The gallery includes community media, your own creations, and favorites. You can browse for ideas before returning to the generator with a more specific prompt.

Joi also has a Discord community with shared prompts, events, and occasional Neuron rewards. Those rewards are separate from the free generation allowance.

Privacy and account controls
